The WFSECTS is composed of various ministries within the church. Each ministry has its individual purpose in serving the members of Woodlawn Forrest Church of Christ.

Our Purpose

To encourage Christian Women to help in the building of the kingdom while motivating one another in love, fellowship and service.

Mrs. Gloria Butler and Mrs. Francine Shearry are the coordinator and co-coordinator
for the WFSECTS Ministries.

These ladies are responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation
of plans and programs for the ladies of the congregation in upbuilding the work of
the church.


Includes the Following Ministries

Baptismal Ministry
To assist baptismal candidates in preparation for baptism.

Bulletin Board Ministry
 To keep assigned bulletin boards beautiful, neat and up-to-date.

Clothes Closet Ministry
 To maintain adequate clothing for distribution to needy individuals.

Communion Ministry
 To prepare the Lord’s Supper for worship services.

Hospitality Ministry
 To welcome new members and new converts to the congregation through acts of love, concern, and fellowship.

Kitchen Ministry
 To maintain the kitchen and monitor functions when it is in use.

Meals-On-Wheels Ministry
 To prepare meals for the sick and shut-in.

Nursery Ministry
Provide childcare for mothers with small children during the worship services (ages: infants to 3 years old).

Pantry Ministry
 To provide food for the needy.

Plants and Decorations Ministry
 To beautify the building.

Sunshine Ministry
 To visit the sick, shut-in, and bereaved members and spread a little cheer.

Wellness Ministry
 To provide first aid and health education.
